Flood Donation 2011
OCCURANCE
Severe flooding occurred during March-April 2011 monsoon season in Thailand.Beginning at the end of the July triggered by Tropical Storm Nock-ten.Flooding soon spread through the provinces of northern,northeastern, and central Thailand along the Mekong and Chao Phraya river basins.
LIFE's AFFECTED
In October flood waters reached the mouth of the Chao Phraya and inundated parts of Bangkok.Flooding persisted in some until mid-January 2012,and resulted in a total of 815 deaths and 13.6 million people were affected.65 of Thailand's provinces were declared flood disaster zones, and over 20k square kilometres of farmland was damaged.
OUR CONTRIBUTION
Saraff Global supported the disaster with a rescue operation. A large number of volunteers,vehicles and ambulances took part in rescue operation at different area's -- helping find and rescue victims,administered first aid and ran evacuation center.Thousands of people where provided with Food,Shelter,Clean Water, Sanitation and Medial care
